Following Boris Johnson’s announcement on Monday 4th January 2021 and a committee meeting of Ringwood & Verwood Round Table members on Tuesday 5th January 2021, we have made the difficult decision that we are not able to accept any further orders for Christmas Tree collections this year.
As a result of the new guidelines, we are having to alter our collection practices, for example ensuring that our volunteers go out “single-manned” in their own vehicles, which puts a limitation on the number of orders we can fulfil and means that collections will take longer. As we already have a large number of collections for Saturday 9th January 2020, it is with regret that we have had to cease taking further orders.
We do apologise if we have not been able to help you with a tree collection this year. Given the success of the scheme, it is highly likely that the scheme will run again next year and we hope that you will keep us in mind and be able to support us both with the tree collections in 2022 and in our various charitable endeavours during 2021.
