In the lead up to December’s Santa’s Sleigh tour, we asked you, the public, to nominate local good causes that we could appoint to support on each night out with Father Christmas. One of the truly amazing causes put forwards by the residents of Ashley Heath, St Leonard’s & St Ives was Batten Fighters Forever; a charity supporting people with Batten Disease by raising awareness of the disease, providing information and where practical help & support as well as providing grants to support families with the disease, organisations supporting such families and research into treatments.
Thanks to the kindness of the public on our evening out with Santa around St Leonard’s & St Ives, we were able to collect a fantastic £290.66! With the blessing of our Route Sponsors for the evening at Meyers Estates Agents Ringwood & Verwood, we’ve been able to top this sum up to a brilliant donation of £440.66 to help the team at Batten Fighters Forever to carry on helping families impacted by Batten Disease.
