As part of building this website, we’ve been in touch with our friends at Ringwood Ex-Tablers/Ringwood 41 Club to see if they could share some photos from the first version of our Table. Fortunately, a few photos started being sent over, including some of the famous (at least locally) Mass Jailbreak that Ringwood & District Round Table organised from Ringwood Police Station in 1987 to raise money for BBC Children in Need. In a pre-cursor for the Channel 4’s “Hunted”, the Jailbreak saw teams “escape” from jail & try to get as far away as they could before they were recaptured.
The photo’s are amazing – and not just for the fashion choices of the day!
