VE Day

This May 9th will mark the 75th Anniversary of Victory in Europe in World War 2. Ringwood & Verwood Round Table were excitedly working with friends in Ringwood Town Council, Rotary, The Royal British Legion & others to mark this auspicious event with a Street Party in Ringwood’s Market Place. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the difficult decision has had to be taken to cancel the street party, but it doesn’t mean that we won’t be marking the date.
We were going to be sharing photo’s of Ringwood’s VE Day Heroes, who contributed towards the Allied victory, in whatever capacity it may have been, whether its in a combat role or as an Air-Raid Warden, Land Girl or Home Guard. To send us over your family heroes photos, or even their memories of VE Day itself, please email them to us at veday@ringwoodroundtable.co.uk.
