Four Acre Farm: Forage, Fire & Feast – 15/04/25

Join us at Four Acre Farm for foraging, fire and food. Land steward, Kate will give a brief introduction to the story of the farm and the philosophy of and techniques of regenerative farming and how it is possible to nourish and heal the land to build soil health in order to grow more nutritionally dense and vibrant veg.

Then resident forager, Sammie will lead a walk around the wilder areas of the farm, including the mixed fruit orchard and wild flower meadow. Here we will encounter wild edible plants that are abundant at this time of year, running through each one’s safe identification, its culinary and medicinal uses and associated folklore.

We will then gather around the fire to enjoy a bowl of food, a blend of veggies from the farm with a sprinkle of the wild harvests found on the walk.
